SPICED SAFFRON RICE

To top off my collection of side dishes, this spiced rice works well with many meals from the C Si Bon menu as well as being delicious enough to eat by itself.

I am a lover of spice and all things exotic. I wanted to add a rice side dish to the repertoire but I wanted it to be so delicious you could eat it just as is. This gorgeously coloured rice is made by infusing saffron, star anise, orange, cinnamon, stock, turmeric, garlic and a few other little things into the rice. It can be served with the C Si Bon Lamb Tagine, C Si Bon Fish with Mediterranean Flavours or C Si Bon Mauritian Beef Curry. The perfect all-rounder!
